Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Somewhere for Two, a sole proprietorship based in North Carolina, United States ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or purchasing a product, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Information you give us. To create your map, we collect the names and birth details (date, time, and place of birth) of you and your partner, your delivery email address, and any preferences or notes you share (such as travel vibe, budget, climate, or must-haves).
- Payment information. When you buy a product, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment details directly. We receive confirmation of payment and limited billing information, but we do not store your full card number.
- Automatically collected information. Like most websites, we may collect basic technical information such as your browser type, device, and general usage through our hosting provider and any analytics we use.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create, produce, and deliver your personalized map.
- To communicate with you about your order and provide customer support.
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To operate, maintain, and improve our website and products.
- To send you updates or offers only if you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed, including:
- Stripe for payment processing.
- Our hosting and email providers (such as Netlify and our email-delivery service) to run the website and deliver your map.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Somewhere for Two or others.
4. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to deliver your product, provide support, and meet legal or accounting obligations. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see "Your Rights").
5. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of marketing. To make a request, email us at hello@somewherefortwo.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and delete your information and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. If you are in the EU/UK, you have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR.
6. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to help the website function and to understand how it is used. We use Microsoft Clarity, an analytics tool that shows us how visitors move through the site (such as clicks, scrolling, and general navigation) so we can make it better. Clarity may set cookies and record anonymized usage information; you can learn more in Microsoft’s privacy documentation. We use this only to improve the experience, never to sell your data. We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
